Frequently Asked Questions for Employers

Do you have candidates with the skills I need?
We have candidates at every level, and can fill many positions, depending on the exact requirements of your opening.

What if the job requires specialized training?
Funds are available, both for customized and on-the-job training. Working with Workforce Alliance supported partner agencies we can tailor a program that will help your company.

Can I get training assistance for employees that are already working for me?
Yes, certain funds are targeted to upgrade the skills of your current employees. We can also help you backfill positions left vacant when you promote these individuals.

Am I required to hire the individual that you refer to me?
You choose from a pool of qualified, motivated, and pre-screened workers that we carefully match to your job openings. The hiring decision is yours alone. We tailor the program to meet your specific requirements. Some training programs do require that trainees be hired by the company.

Is there a lot of paperwork involved in working with your organization?
Our on-the-job training contract is a brief, one-page document that is negotiated between your company and Workforce Alliance. The length of the contract is contingent upon the job classification and usually runs between eight and twenty weeks.

Do you charge a fee for these services?
There is absolutely no charge for any of our services. In fact, there are financial incentives available to you. For instance, reimbursements of up to 50% of each employee's wages during the on-the-job training period make this a very attractive program. In addition, you will save time and money on help wanted advertising and interviews with the wrong people.
